The Department of Statistics at Sree Neelakanta Government Sanskrit College, Pattambi, Kerala, is dedicated to the cause of statistical literacy, analytical acumen, and data-informed decision-making among its students. As a part of the diverse academic structure of the college, the department is committed to quantitative learning in the field of science and related disciplines.
The department provides two Minor courses to its students, which are aimed at providing a sound foundation in statistical theory and applications. In addition to the core subject matter, the students are provided hands-on training in analytical and computational software like Microsoft Excel, R, and Python, which would enable them to analyze, interpret, and manage real-world data effectively.
With two permanent faculty members and a student-centric approach, the department fosters critical thinking, research acumen, and professional skills among its students.
