
he NCC unit at SNGS College,Pattambi operates under the 28 Battalion NCC Ottappalam, comprising of 160 cadets, of whom 65.5% are girls actively enrolled and undergoing training. The unit places great emphasis on developing a disciplined, well-organised, and motivated group of cadets equipped with leadership skills across various fields, committed to serving the nation with dedication. Throughout the current training year, along with regular parades, the unit has organised several programmes to foster a spirit of discipline and selfless service among the cadets.
- JUNE 5, 2024 – On the occasion of World Environment Day, the cadets of 1 Coy NCC SNGS College actively participated in a tree plantation drive, planting saplings both in the college campus and at their respective homes.
- June 21, 2024- As part of observing International Yoga Day, NCC cadets from SNGS College, Pattambi, along with cadets from SN College, Shoranur and IPT &GPT College, Shoranur, assembled at the SNGS College,Pattambi campus for a Yoga demonstration session.
- August 15,2024 – Independence Day – 1 COY NCC Unit of SNGS College, Pattambi, celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, cadets hoisted the National Flag at their homes. On campus, the celebration included a flag-hoisting ceremony, a rally, and various cultural events such as mime, group dance, group song, and speeches. Our ANO Dr Pramod Aand former ANOCapt. Dr. P. Abdu addressed the gathering and shared inspiring thoughts on patriotism.
- September 25, 2024 – As part of Bharat Swachhata Diwas, the 1 COY NCC Unit of SNGS College, Pattambi, conducted a Campus Cleaning Drive .The programme was held in collaboration with Pattambi Municipality, with active participation from NCC cadets.The campaign aimed to promote cleanliness and raise awareness about hygiene, reflecting the spirit of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
- September 26,2024 – Human Chain Program – Waste-Free New Kerala Campaign. As part of the Pattambi Municipality’s “Waste-Free New Kerala”People’s Campaign, NCC cadets from SNGS College, Pattambi, actively participated in a human chain programme. Alongside civilians, the cadets joined hands to convey the message of a clean and sustainable environment, promoting awareness on proper waste management and environmental responsibility.
- October 1,2024 – Railway Station Cleaning – Swachh Bharat Mission. In accordance with the Swachh Bharat Mission, the 1 COY NCC Unit of SNGS College, Pattambiparticipated in a cleaning drive at Pattambi Railway Station. The drive focussed on individual commitment to cleanliness—dedicating 100 hours per year—the cadets aimed to spread awareness and promote the values of hygiene and civic responsibility.
- November 23,2024 – As part of the 76th Raising Day of the National Cadet Corps, the 1 COY NCC Unit of SNGS College, Pattambi organised a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Government Hospital, Perinthalmanna. The active participation of the NCC cadets in the initiative, reflects the spirit of service and social responsibility that the Corps upholds.
- January 26, 2025 – The 1 COY NCC Unit of SNGS College, Pattambi celebrated the 76th Republic Day with patriotic fervour. The National Flag was hoisted by Vice Principal Prof. Dr. Resmi R, in the presence of ANO Dr. Pramod, Ex-ANO Capt. Dr. Abdu, Subedar Prem Chandra, Havildar Suneesh, and other dignitaries.The ceremony was followed by a special contingent March-Past and a Cane Drill Display by the NCC cadets. The event also featured cultural programmes including a group song, group dance, and mime performance, showcasing the talents and spirit of the cadets.
- March 1 ,2025 – As part of a Trekking Expedition, the NCC cadets of SNGS College, Pattambi set about on a trek to Dhoni Hills,Palakkad. The activity revealed the adventurous spirit and physical endurance of the cadets, fostering teamwork, resilience, and a love for nature.
- March 20,2025- The Passing Out Parade of outgoing NCC Cadets of SNGS College, Pattambi was held on campus with great prestige and pride. The event celebrated the achievements of the outgoing NCC cadets. Thee event was also planned as an official farewell to the outgoing batch. L/CPL Niranjan A.M., who participated in the ALL INDIA THAL SAINIK CAMP at Delhi, Ex-Sergeant Bijesh P.P., Civil Police Officer, and Ex-Corporal Adarsh, who joined the C.I.S.F., were felicitated for their accomplishments. Commanding Officer of 28(K)Bn, Ottapalam Colonel S. Sri Ram took the salute and inaugurated the felicitation ceremony. The event was presided over by Principal Sri. C. D. Dileep. Speeches were delivered by NCC Alumni President Sherif Thumbil, Ex-ANO Dr. P. Abdu, Subedar Palash Bose of 28 Kerala Battalion, and NCC Officer Dr. Pramod.A. Former cadet and Retd. NCC Officer Bala Krishnan Ezhuvantala presented awards to the best cadets– Sergeant Anantha Krishnan and Sergeant Hima.
- May 24,2025 – Award Ceremony and Veteran Felicitation. An Award ceremony for the Best Cadets of the 28(K) Battalion NCC and a felicitation programme for veterans above 80 years was held at SNGS College, Pattambi.The event was formally inaugurated by Principal Sri. C.D.Dileep, and Retired Colonel Sathishwas accorded a Guard of Honour. During the ceremony, outstanding cadets and distinguished veterans were honoured for their dedication and service.
- 51 cadets have completed ‘B’ Certificate exam & 38 cadets attended ‘C’ certificate exam during the year 2024-25. SNGS Cadet CSM ANAGHA P M joined the INDIAN ARMY as GD CMP (Agniveer) & EX cadet UO MADHAV have joined in OTA 2025.
