Department of Physics

The Department of Physics at SNGS College Pattambi began in 1967, originally offering Physics in pre-degree courses. It later served as a subsidiary subject in B.Sc. Chemistry and subsequently launched its own B.Sc. Physics degree in 2012, under the University of Calicut.

The college as a whole is a NAAC A+ accredited government institution with a long history of academic excellence, offering 11 undergraduate and several postgraduate and research programs.

📘 Programme Offered

B.Sc. Physics Honours (Undergraduate)

  • Duration:4 years (8 semesters)
  • Sanctioned Intake:24 students per year for the Physics honours course as per University of Calicut/Admission authority records.
  • The syllabus follows the Four Year Under Graduate Program (FYUGP) with a balanced mix of core theory, practicals, electives, and project work.
