Independence Day Celebrations Held at Pattambi Government College

Pattambi Government College celebrated India’s Independence Day with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm under the joint initiative of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and the National Service Scheme (NSS).

Flag Hoisting Ceremony

The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the College Principal, Prof. Dr. P. R. John. The ceremony was attended by NCC and NSS volunteers, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students of the college.

Associate NCC Officer Lt. Dr. A. Pramod, Havildar Dharamveer Singh of the 28 Kerala Ottapalam Battalion NCC, and NCC Alumni President Mr. Shareef Thumbil addressed the gathering and conveyed their Independence Day greetings.

NCC Special Contingent Drill

A special contingent drill by the NCC cadets was one of the highlights of the celebration. The disciplined and coordinated performance of the cadets added grandeur and patriotic fervour to the occasion.

Cultural Programmes

The celebrations also featured a variety of cultural programmes presented by NCC and NSS volunteers. The performances reflected the spirit of patriotism, unity and national pride, making the Independence Day celebration a memorable occasion for the college community.

The programme concluded with a strong message of patriotism, social responsibility and commitment to the nation.
