Hindi Department

The department of Hindi was established in 1969. Hindi is taught as Ability Enhancement Course in FYUGP programmes BA, B.Sc.,B. Com and BBA.The department organizes regular classes, remedial coaching, monthly test papers, seminars and interactive activities to help the students perform well in the examinationsand  improve their language proficiency. Teaching is supported by the effective use of computer and LCD Projector. In order to modernize education seminars and assignments are given the highest priority.The department’s plan of action for the coming years is to initiate FYUGP (Hindi) & PG (Hindi) courses.

 Curricular changes

The UG program has been converted into credit and semester system from 2009 admissions onwards. Syllabus of UG programs was revised in 2013 & 2019.

Recent curriculum changes (effective from 2024 admissions) in the Additional Language Hindi course under the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP), focus on a shift towards communicative competence, functional application and digital literacy in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Additional Language Hindi is now integrated into FYUGP structure as Ability Enhancement Course (AEC), Multi-Disciplinary Course (MDC) and Value Added Course (VAC) framework, focussing on skills.

Organized a talk on ‘Hindi ka varthamaan paridrushya’ in connection with Hindi Day celebrations on 15 September 2025.  Conducted literary competitions and distributed prizes to the winners.

2024-25

Organized a talk on ‘Hindi ke badthe kadam’ in connection with Hindi Day celebrations on 11 September 2024.  Conducted literary competitions and distributed prizes to the winners.

2023-2024

Organized a talk on ‘Hindi bhasha kal, aaj aur kal’ in connection with Hindi Day celebrations on 12 September 2023.

2022-2023

Organized a talk on ‘Premchand saahithya: punarpaad’ in connection with Premchand Day celebrations on 19 August 2022

Organized a talk on ‘Hindi ki bhashayi kshamatha’ in connection with Hindi Day celebrations on 14 September 2022. Conducted literary competitions and distributed prizes to the winners.
