Abstract
കേരളീയത എന്ന സംസ്കാരവ്യവസ്ഥയിൽ 'ശുദ്ധ'മെന്ന മട്ടിൽ മുഖ്യധാര പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന സ്വത്വസവിശേഷതകൾ മലയാളഭാഷയെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം ജനകീയഭൂരിപക്ഷത്തെ എത്രമാത്രം പ്രതിനിധാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്ന അന്വേഷണമാണ് ഈ പഠനത്തിൻ്റെ ലക്ഷ്യം. മലയാളത്തിലെ അക്ഷരത്തെറ്റുകളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഉച്ചാരണശ്ശുദ്ധി അഥവാ അക്ഷരസ്ഫുടതയുടെ കുറവുകൊണ്ടാണെന്നും ഉച്ചാരണശ്ശുദ്ധിയോടെ അക്ഷരമാല ഉച്ചരിപ്പിച്ചും എഴുതിപ്പിച്ചും പഠിപ്പിച്ചാൽ മാത്രമേ അക്ഷരത്തെറ്റ് പരിഹരിക്കാനാകൂ എന്നും വാദിക്കുന്നവർ മലയാളത്തിന്റെ തനതുസവിശേഷതകൾ പരിഗണിക്കുന്നില്ല. ഖര - മൃദുപരിവർത്തനം, പദാദിയിലെ 'എ' കാര ചുവയോടുകൂടിയ ഉച്ചാരണം, സവർണ്ണനം എന്നീ ദ്രാവിഡസവിശേഷതകൾക്കനുസരിച്ച് സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ഭൂരിപക്ഷമലയാളികളെ സംസ്കൃതമട്ടിൽ ഉച്ചരിപ്പിക്കാൻ പരിശീലിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് സവർണ്ണതാല്പര്യങ്ങളെ അബോധപൂർവമായാണെങ്കിലും സംരക്ഷിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കലാണെന്നും പ്രശ്നവൽക്കരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത് മലയാളിസമൂഹം ഒന്നടങ്കം ആണെന്നും പഠനം കണ്ടെത്തുന്നു. ആത്മാഭിമാനത്തിനും അതിജീവനത്തിനും പോരാ എന്ന തോന്നലോടൊപ്പം തങ്ങളുടെ 'വാമൊഴി' അപകൃഷ്ടമാണെന്നു കൂടി ധരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ 'മലയാളിസമൂഹ'ത്തിൻ്റെ ആത്മവിശ്വാസത്തെയാണ് മുഖ്യധാര 'വരേണ്യപണ്ഡിതർ' തകർക്കുന്നത് എന്ന് പ്രബന്ധം വിശദീകരിക്കുന്നു.
മലയാളിയുടെ സ്വത്വനിർമ്മിതിയിലെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ തൊട്ട് മലയാളപഠനത്തിന് ക്ലാസുമുറിയിൽ അനുവദിക്കുന്ന സമയവും പ്രാധാന്യവും വരെ അക്ഷരത്തെറ്റുകൾക്ക് കാരണമാണെന്ന് കണ്ടെത്താൻ ഈ പഠനം സഹായകരമാകും.ഭാഷയിൽ നിശ്ശബ്ദരാക്കപ്പെട്ട യഥാർഥ മലയാളിസമൂഹത്തിന്റെ സാംസ്കാരിക സ്വത്വാനുഭവങ്ങളെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കാൻ പാരമ്പര്യ 'കേരളീയത'യുടെ നിഷേധം ആവശ്യമാണെന്ന തിരിച്ചറിവ് 'മലയാളത്തിലെ വർണ്ണവിചാരം കേരളത്തിലെ വർണ്ണരാഷ്ട്രീയം' ആണെന്ന കണ്ടെത്തിലിലേക്കു സമൂഹത്തെ നയിക്കുമെന്നും പുതു കേരളീയതയെ സൃഷ്ടിക്കാൻ ആ അറിവ് കരുത്തുനൽകുമെന്നുമാണ് പ്രബന്ധത്തിന്റെ ഉള്ളടക്കം.
